iPhone 3GS Jailbreak for Mac – Download now!
Windows user have been enjoying Geohot’s iPhone 3GS jailbreak (the purplera1n app) for quite a while now, finally a Mac version have been released courtesy of AriZ and westbaer, the winterboard still not working hopefully will get fixed on the next iphone 3gs Jailbreak release. This Jailbreak is not made for the PPC Macs, sad news eh?, Intel users rejoice!
Here’s a step by step instruction on how to use the tool:
- Download purplera1n from the link below.
- Unzip the downloaded zipfile.
- This wont work on PPC Macs so make sure you’re on intel.
Click the purplera1n app - Click on the “make it rain” button, this will make the iphone go to recovery mode, you’ll see geohot’s image on your iphone, and could be done within a minute.
- Phone will reboot, now open the “Freeze” app and “Install Cydia”. Wait till it says finished then exit to the home screen. Incase cydia is not installed just run the freeze app again.
