Truly Annoying iPhone Application
CJKApps released an application that is Truly Annoying, the Annoy-A-Teen Application. Available at the Apple Store for 0.99usd this Application whole purpose is to Annoy Teens and drive them nuts.
This Application produces irritatingly high frequency sounds that adults have lost the ability to hear. Filed under Entertainment Category by the guys who find annoying teens an entertaining scene, this app reminds me of the symbian application that enables nokia phones to certain sound to drive mosquitos away which is by far more useful than annoying teens.
According to the creator depending on the sensitivity of your ears, you may or may not hear all the sounds created by your iphone, even though they are irritably perceptible to others with more sensitive ears. Research claims that the human sensitivity to higher frequency deteriorates with age, and an average person can hear sounds from 20 to 20,000 Hz while normal middle -aged man can hear up to 12-14kHz.
Hypertextbook.com have a table of resources about Frequency Range of Human Hearing . You can test if you can hear such frequencies using this link.
Compatible with the 3G and 3gs also with ipod touch connected to a speaker. You can learn more about this app on itunes store.
I haven’t tried this app yet, i just hope they created a more useful version of this thing like emitting frequencies to repel household pests i.e. roaches and bedbugs.
