Apple TV 3.0 now with Internet Radio, iTunes LP, New interface and more!
Today March 29 Apple updated the Apple TV software to 3.0, it now features a new interface which some may find fugly but according to Apple it should make navigating content faster.
New Apple 3.0 software includes the following new features:
- Improved User Interface
- Added iTunes Extras and iTunes LP
- Ability to listen to Genius Mixes (upto 12 endless mixes generated by itunes)
- Internet Radio, and the ability to tag favorite stations
- iPhoto Events, and Faces (sorry no Places yet)
I’m not sure if this is the Apple TV I’m waiting for, I just hope they do some hardware upgrade soon i.e. hard drive upgrade, or perhaps 1080p upscaling or the ability to add additional hard drive out-of-the-box for more content.
