Unemployed Programmer created the first iPhone worm

worm-lgYou know what could happen if an uneployed developer owns an iPhone?. He might get really bored and do something crazy before he sell his iPhone.

Ashley Towns of Wollongong ( a city in the New South Wales in Southeastern Australia) an unemployed programmer created the first ever iPhone worm. It was called iKee, according to reports the work doesn’t steal information or destroy any part of your iPhone’s system. Instead it changes your iPhone’s wallpaper to a photo of Rick Ashley (famous for the song “Never gonna give you up”) before infecting other phones.

He stated that It was supposed to be a small prank and he never expect it t get as far as it did. The good thing is the iKee virus only infects jailbroken iPhones and the infection is limited to Australia at the moment. Ashley”s goal is to convince jailbreakers to change their iPhones root password, to stop real threat. People thanks him at first but few abused Mr. Towns.
