Airlock iPhone/iPod Touch Proximity Lock, locks your Mac doubles as a Wife Detector

Airlock macI currently set my Mac to  be in standby mode after 20 minutes of being idle and request for a password on wake-up.  Do you know that there’s a better way to lock your Mac but it requires you to have an iPhone or iPod Touch and use it as a proximity key. It’s kinda like a wireless key for your BMW that starts your engine and cool your car if your in a proximity range. And they call this app the Airlock

The Airlock is an application that sits in your Mac’s system preferences pane. Once installed you can associate it with an iPhone or an iPod Touch and set the security range so when you’re beyond that range your Mac gets locked and automatically unlocks when you’re back. However there’s a problem, it only works when you don’t use a bluetooth keyboard or mouse.

Aside from locking or unlocking your screen you can also set the Airlock to open several Applications when the iPhone goes out-of-range and when it comes in-range. Hmmn, that means  you can use this as a wife detector, secretly pair it with your Wife’s iPod Touch or iPhone so you can quit flirting online when she’s around. However you can only pair one iPod or iPhone with the Airlock.

Airlock is compatible with Mac OS 10.5 and you can purcahse it for 7.77 US Dollars. You can also try the Demo and the Airlock will be disabled after the demo period, but can be re-enabled any number of times.
