Are you an iTunes user who love to sing or perhaps you like to sing with your ipod. Are you tired of searching google for lyrics every-time you want to learn the words or a song?. Good news! Here’s a free Application for Mac that Automatically retrieves lyrics and adds it to iTunes, its called Get Lyrical by Shullian Productions.
If you bought music from iTunes chances are you already have the song lyrics but not all the time.
The Old Manual way to add song lyrics to your music is this:
- search for the lyrics using google
- right click the song and select “get info”
- in the lyrics tab, copy the lyrics from your browser to to the lyrics box.
Thanks to Get Lyrical you don’t need to do the same steps over and over. You just run the application and it will retrieve and lyrics selected or currently playing on iTunes. Songs are retrieved from a wiki site (lyrics.wikia.com), you can edit and add songs to Get Lyrical app and it will update the wikia database.
There are three basic command buttons in Get Lyrical: Tag Selection, which you use to add lyrics to selected music on iTunes lyrics; Tag Current, used to tag the songs currently playing; and Active Tagging, which magically retrieves song lyrics as it plays in iTunes. There’s also an “Eye” icon which you click to display lyrics.
