Price comparison of MacBook Pro around the world
If you’re going to buy a new MacBook Pro then you might be thinking where to get the cheapest possible deal. If you live in Hong Kong, you already have the cheapest, just go to your local Apple Store. But if you live in some other country you’ll wish you’re not in Brazil nor South Africa. Check out this Apple MacBook Price Infographic.
In South Africa the price of a 13 inch 2.25 GHz ($1,760) in US currency is like buying a mid-level 15″ MacBook Pro 2.28 GHz, this is perhaps due to lack of official Apple Store there and the cost of shipping not to mention the RISK of shipping (risk of sea piracy).
While South Africa have the highest price Brazil seems catching up, the price of a 17″ MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz there is like buying two of the same MacBook Pro in the US. FYI Apple operates Apple Stores in Brazil, its kinda awkward to see such high price.
I think I should consider buying a MacBook Pro the next time I visit Hong Kong.
