How to Convert Youtube Video to MP3 on a Mac
Here’s what you need
- Firefox Browser, download it here
- Fast Video Downloader 3.0.8 Firefox Plugin, to Install this, go to this link, and click “add to firefox” – make sure you’re using the latest version of Firefox
- iTunes and Quicktime, visit this link if you still don’t have it.
Now here’s what you have to do
- With all the Apps listed above go to YouTube.com
- Search for a video “make sure you have legal rights to download em”
- While playing the youtube video, you’ll notive the FVD icon flashing on your firefox plugin bar (above the status bar) click it and select which version of the video you want to download, just choose any of the “.mp4″ file.
- After downloading open the file with “quicktime”, Click on File – Export (or command + e). In the export dialog box st Export Option to “Sound to Wave”. To have the best sound possible click the “Option Button” just beside it and set “Render Settings: Quality” to “Best”, Click OK
- Now that you have a working wave version of the youtube video, open the wave file with iTunes to add it to your iTunes library.
- On your library, right click the recently added wave file and click “create MP3 version”
- Now that you have converted a youtuve video to mp3, all you have to do is delete the wave and mp4 files created in the process.
