Leaked iPhone 4G Parts Could just be a Marketing Stunt
Yesterday, iResQ claimed that they got their hands on a possible iPhone 4G parts and the physical photos suggests that the next iPhone is 1/4 inch taller than the current version. Also there’s a reflective reflective surface just above the earpiece. iResQ think that it’s likely a place for a proximity sensor, which I think is not so Apple-ish. Apple usually hide the sensor and that reflective surface is an eye sore, or could it be a place for a font-facing-camera?
The so-called iPhone part could be bogus, even though iResQ claimed that their source is reputable, this could just be a marketing stunt (a very effective viral marketing) for a repair company. It could also be part of an iPhone clone or created for the sole purpose of attracting customers. If this thing is true, Apple should give good reason why make the iPhone 4G a bit taller, could it be that there’s a front camera in there? Perhaps the screen resolution got begger (720p HD) or they just make the iPhone 4G thinner and gains height in the process.
For now only God Steve Jobs know, and all we have to do is wait for the real thing while being feed with rumors.
