Aperture 3 Borrows iPhoto Features Gains over 200 New Ones

While everyone was expecting a New MacBook Pro revealed after the Online Apple Store Update, Apple come up with something we never see coming. Apple just release Aperture 3, Apple’s pro-level photo management, and editing Application. The New Aperture 3 acquired several features from iPhoto such as Places, Faces, and Advanced Slideshows while adding over 200 New Features (listed here).

Just like on iPhoto you can now organize Photos by names, this makes finding your subject’s photo a lot easier and Places allows you to organize Photos by location with the help of your GPS enable camera. Another feature derived from iPhoto is the ability to create Advanced Slideshows with photos, HD video clips, titles, layered soundtracks, and professionally designed themes. Aside from the features copied from iPhoto, Aperture 3 also highlights features such as Full-Screen Browsing, Adjustment Presets, and New Non-destructive edge-aware brushes.

Aperture 3 retails for $199 US Full Version and $99 US to upgrade from previous Aperture Versions. One thing though, the new Aperture 3 is a 64bit Application make sure that you’ll gonna install it on a LeopardĀ  or higher on an Intel-based Mac.
