Firmware 1.1.4: Jailbreak and Activate
George Zhu is able to Jailbreak and Activate the current iPhone firmware 1.1.4 using Act114 for OS X – Jailbreak/Activate 1.1. which is based on ZiPhone 2.4 but removes the unlock features so in can’t unlock 1.1.4.
here’s what the tool does.
- Jailbreak firmware 1.1.4
- Activate firmware 1.1.4
- Setup Installer
- Setup afc2 (so you can use iBrickr & iPHUC)
- Fix YouTube
Open “Terminal” App on your mac (It’s inside your Applications/Utilities folder) and use the following command.
./act114 -a -j (jailbreak and activate)./act114 -j (jailbreak only, setup Installer and afc2) ./act114 -a (activate only, patch lockdownd and youtube)
So that’s basically it, visit the authors blog for complete info. I’m still waiting for my iPhone hopefully it arrives with 1.1.3 but i guess i’ll try this method anyway.
