Apple Offers Online Sign Up for the iPhone
Apple now offers users a way to sign up for AT&T service online prior to visiting an Apple Store. Apple has made some of their registration process online to shorten the time iPhone 3G buyers spend in Apple stores. Users must enter their:
- Enter your billing information.
- Review eligibility and pricing.
- Select your AT&T rate plan.
And once you are done you can then schedule a time to visit the nearest Apple Store to complete the process. [via Apple]
While this may offer some comfort for future users, you still have to visit the Apple Store for in-store activation of your iPhone upon purchase. This new online registration will just shorten the time you spend inside the Apple Store.
