New Pioneer Speaker Dock with Dual Mix & Internet Radio
Finally Pioneer has got it right this time. The XW NCA1 and XW NAC3 is the most impressive speaker dock for your iPhone and iPod. Let’s forget about sound quality right now (we’ll have it reviewed later) and look at the features that makes me want this thing.
- Dual Mix, shuffles between two docked iPod’s and or iPhone’s. Let’s say your iPhone got mellow music and your Wife’s iPod Touch got rock music, this feature will shuffle both libraries.
- Built-in Bluetooth wireless streaming. This feature let’s you stream music from any A2DP Profile bluetooth device such as blackberries, Andoid phones, iPhone, iPod touch, even PC’s and bluetooth enabled Macs. Yes, this can act as a wireless speaker for your Macbook Pro.
- Composite Audio/Video out so you stream youtube movies, video content, and TV to your Home Theater.
- Internet Radio, for times you just wanna listen to the radio
- DLNA feature enables you to playback music stored from multiple computers across your home network.
- Advanced Sound Retriever AIR feature promises to restores compressed music to original quality.
Both XW NAC1 and XW NAC3 are compatible with iPod Classic, iPod Nano (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Generations), iPod touch (1st and 2nd Generations), iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, iPod shuffle owners could use the auxiliary mini input jack . It automatically mutes music when a phone call is received and it allows you to use all your iPhone feature.
What more? The design and high-gloss finish matches the Macbook’s design and complements your Mac setup. But take note that the lower end XW NAC1 doesn’t have DLNA and Internet Radio, aside from being cheaper all other features are identical. The NAC1 and NAC2 is available for preorder at a price tag of $349 and $449 respectively.
