ABC iPad App reaches 400,000 Downloads
With the recent release of a video streaming over 3G capable ABC App for the iPad, the network today announces that they have reached 400,000 downloads. The TV network already delivered more than 1.5 milllion TV episodes which includes Lost, Modern Family, V, Dancing with the Stars, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and many more.
The Network is known to be a pioneer in several media delivery platforms:
- ABC is the 1st to offer full episodes on iTunes (October 2005), to stream ad-supported full episodes online (May 2006)
- 1st to offer full episodes on demand on a mobile platform (w/Sprint, May 2007)
- 1st to stream episodes online in true 720p HD (Fall 2007)
- 1st to offer expert and user commentary with full episodes online (Fall 2009)
With the ABC app for the iPad you can watch free ad supported episodes of your favorite TV series over wifi or 3G streaming.
