iPad Printing, Mac OSX Server 10.6 Solution

While the iPad is a great tool, you cannot print documents with it yet. You can try this solution, but you need a copier/multi-function printer to do that.

Andre Aulich developed a work around, but it requires a Mac running on OSX Server 10.6. The logic is to export files to PDF send it to a specific email and have Mac OSX Server print every email sent to that email address.

So if you have a Mac with OSX Server you can try it out. Detailed instructions is on this page.

Thanks ARS

Something I did a long time ago was to print to PDF (or Postscript file?) that went to a LAN share. That LAN share was then accessed via a windows machine that automagically sent the print job to the printer. As I recall it used postscript in some form. It was a converter fron PS or PSD for my printer.

I think this would be a viable solution if you can print to PDF from iThingies

It would be great when Ipad has printing capabilities.
