iPhodroid Automatically Installs Android OS on Jailbroken iPhones in 5 Minutes
Yes you heard it right! You can now install Android OS on a Jailbroken iPhone so easily.
All you need is a Jailbroken 2nd Generation or 3G iPhone running on 3.1.2m and the device should be jailbroken using PwnageTool, RedsnOw or Blackrain, but NOT Spirit. Make sure that OpenSSH is installed with ‘alpine’ as the default password. You also need to download a couple of app Macfuse and iPhodroid installed on your Mac.
Once everything is set, you just need to run iPhodroid and viola! You can now dual boot to iPhone OS or Google’s Android. BUT Android on an iPhone is not as smooth as butter, it comes with few bugs and stuff that might annoy you.
- No active power management, making the iPhone only lasts for an hour when running Android.
- Android OS runs Slow and hangs.
- Mediasync is not working.
If you’re a Mac head who what’s to try Android, then go ahead! However I find it not really useful to install something that’s so buggy and no real world use.
