Apple Promises Software Fix For MacBook Pro Trackpad Issues
A number of people is already complaining about a trackpad issue found on the new MacBook Pros. Reports say that the omni-button trackpads on the new MacBooks are glitchy—every 50 or so clicks, the trackpad will stop responding for a few seconds at a time, even to hard clicks.
One frustrated MacBook Pro owner emailed Apple CEO Steve Jobs earlier this week and received a call back from Apple’s customer relations department. Steve Jobs responded with a short but revealing statement that says “Software fix coming soon”.
Steve Jobs i been known to reply to emails in the past and a review of the email headers found them to be consistent with Jobs’ previous emails. No exact timeframe was given on the software fix, but this information should provide some reassurance to those affected that it seems to be correctable with a simple software update.
The new MacBook Pros was just released and problems are starting to surface. Let’s just hope that a software update can fix this problem. [AppleInsider]
