Globe Telecom Posted its iPhone 4 Registration Page

Globe Telecom – the only carrier authorized by Apple to sell iPhones in the Philippines just put up an iPhone 4 registration page on their site. Registering doesn’t mean that you signing up for an iPhone 4, but just to get informed on the latest information on the upcoming release. Pre-orders should start few weeks before the launch date.

By registering your interest, you will only be kept informed on the latest iPhone 4 updates from Globe.   It does not constitute a confirmed order and is not necessary in order to purchase.   The advantage of  registering your interest in this website  is you will be one of the first to know the latest updates on the iPhone 4’s availability in the Philippines.

You can read more about Globe’s iPhone 4 Registration on ther FAQ page here.

Since this is a Globe iPhone 4 don’t expect that this is unlock, according to tweets it should be priced at around 40k-45k php for the 15GB and could the 32GB could cost as much as 55k as prepaid option. If that’s the case the best option would be is asking your friend who lives in Singapore or Hong Kong if you can use their address as a delivery address and you can just use your credit card to buy a factory unlocked iPhone 4 on Apple Singapore online store. The only problem would be warranty, it could be possible that Globe Telecom will not honor iPhone 4′s bought from other countries, unless Apple officially release unlocked iPhone 4 in the Philippines.

Decisions.. decisions.. I’m in the same dilemma. I want to buy the iPhone 4 at Globe for the warranty, but it’s sure to be expensive and 34k PHP price tag of the 32gb iPhone 4 (equivalent in Singapore Dollar) is sweeeeet. If you’re in my shoes what would you opt for? Waiting for Globe’s iPhone 4 or get it right now from Singapore.
