Making the MacBook better for Gaming
“There’s no denying the MacBook’s popularity. Since the start of 2007, Apple has sold about 5.7 million laptops, and while the company doesn’t break down sales by model, it would be safe to assume that MacBooks make up a significant percentage of that total. I can’t walk into a Starbucks or turn on the TV without seeing a MacBook—or, for that matter, the new MacBook Air, which shares some common design elements, including integrated graphics. And that’s where the problem lies from a gaming perspective. When it comes to games, Macbooks really stink, and there are a lot less games available for the Mac. Why? because of the system’s inability to run the games developers have developed or have in the works. I just hope that Apple would take a look at this issue and help put us gamers back in the loop of Mac users. A simple addition of graphic chips would surely make a big change and would put Macs back in the gaming world.
