iPhone 4, 4G and 3G iPod Touch Audio Test [Video]

If you’re still preventing yourself from buying the new 4th Generation iPod Touch, then here’s a sound/audio test that will help you decide. The audio demo between the iPhone 4, 4G and 3G iPod Touch conducted by youtube user DetroitBorg shows that the new iPod Touch sound output is louder than the previous generation. It sounds weaker than the iPhone 4 but the audio is not as bad as the 3rd Gen. That’s because the 3G touch doesn’t have a speaker port and the audio comes out from the dock connector. While the new iPod touch have a dedicated speaker port, the iPhone 4′s speaker is a bit larger. The test scenes used in the demo are from Startrek movie, it could have been great if he also did a music test with a variety of music genre to see how highs, midrange, and bass performs.

You can watch the speaker performance test between the three iOS device after the break.

No that you have the idea, the only reason not to buy the new iPod Touch is  when you already have the iPhone 4.
