iPod Touch 2G Finally Jailbroken
Unlike the iPhone 3G, the 2nd generation iPod touch proved to give more challenge. but the Dev Team has made the first big step toward a full-on jailbreak.
The Dev Team finally found a break when they made the iPhones jailbreaker, yellowsn0w, but says the touch’s jailbreak is far too manual to be done by most people at this point. But this is the first big breakthrough and it’s become a focus of the Team’s efforts.
“When we announced yellowsn0w, we made the mistake of giving an ETA for its release…and that really clobbered the last day of 2008 for us. So we won’t be issuing a formal ETA for the ipt2G jailbreak. But we are putting a lot of energy into it.”
Once again, Apple can’t seem to make anything the Team can’t break. Looks like its just a few days before we can finally see a fully jailbroken iPod Touch.
