FireCore outs aTV Flash (Black) beta

The hack that will add internet browsing, last.fm and info on demand functions to the second generation Apple TV is now officially released for the public. Putting the aTV Flash (black) in public beta will allow FireCore to tune-up its current feature and add perhaps new ones. The beta software only works on Macs and sells at a discounted price of $19.95 and will return to the normal price of $29.95 after the beta phase. So I guess it’s the perfect time to get the app.

aTV Flash (black) includes other features such as Plex Client – for streaming media from plex server running on Macs, One Click Software Update and will feature additional media format playback, and NAS media streaming in the near future. Not clear if it will add Skype, external hard drive and USB accessory enabling, but iPhone, Mac and iPod Touch owners might just wait for Apple to enable third party app streaming to Apple TV coming this 2011.
