Volkswagen Bulli concept car comes with built-in iPad dock

Just recently at Geneva 2011 Motor Show, Volkswagen unveils its Bulli concept car, the company’s modern rendition the Microbus introduced in the 1960′s. This 113HP vehicle runs on lithium battery and comes with a built-in iPad dock allowing users to control the music and other entertainment function of the car.

This is not the first time that a car company used an iPad for publicity. Earlier last year Hyundai released the Equus with a free iPad to serve as the car’s manual, while Mercedes used the iPad to boost up car sales. The iPad doesn’t seem to control every aspect of the vehicle, like power doors, windows and ignition, although car enthusiastic Dave Phipps was able to do so with his old Pontiac.
