It’s hard to find the right iPad 2 case when there lots of designs to choose from and you only need to buy one, to make selection process easier lets narrow down or criteria into two, either tough or thin. Tough case can’t be thin and thin case can’t be tough, Otterbox known for its tough case, and SwitchEasy maker of the thinnest iPad case just released the Defender and Nude series iPad 2 case.
Otterbox Defender Series case for the iPad 2 is made tough by its two layer design, the inner polycarbonate shell features foam interior to protect your device, as the silicone outer layer acts as a damper that absorbs shock. Each set comes with a self-adhering transparent screen protector to protect the screen, and a clip-on polycarbonate cover for extra protection when not in use. The cover includes a stand fold-out stand for instant typing and movie watching on-the-go.
Like all other Nude Series Case, the new iPad 2 compatible version inherits that 1.8mm super slim profile, making it the thinnest iPad 2 case yet. These snap on polycarbonate case is coated with Duo UV Scratch resistant coating and is available in five vibrant colors (red, lime, black, white, fuschia, blue), and is also available in ultra clear barely-there transparent variant. Each unit comes with an anti-static screen guard, microfiber wipe, squeegee, headphone and docking port covers, and a couple of portable fold-out stand. Both cases allows easy access to ports and controls.
At just $29.99 the Nude case for the iPad 2 is the best choice if you don’t want to add bulk to your device, but you have to pay a $89.95 premium for extra protection/peace of mind only a true tough case like the Otterbox Defender Case can give. I suggest you get them both, but the bad news is none of these case is compatible with Apple’s trendy ScreenCover.
