New MacBooks have shorter Battery Life?

New models of Apple’s MacBooks seems to have shorter Battery Life than previous generations of MacBooks. Even though that the New MacBooks use Intel’s new 45nm Penryn technlogy, which should be more power-efficient, it is still bound to loose at least an hour on its operating time. They say that the reduction in battery life is likely attributable to higher clock speeds, along with performance tweaks in miscellaneous areas (sounds like we have to sacrifice Battery Life for Performance)

Here is some examples: The new basic MacBook, for instance, operates at 55W, but now runs for a maximum of 4.5 hours with wireless on versus 6 hours. The 15.4-inch version of the MacBook Pro is rated at 60W, but suffers the least, shrinking from six hours to five. The 17-inch Pro is a 68W system, and drops from 5.75 hours of use to 4.5.
