Multitasking will Available in iPhone OS 4.0?

Soon we may not need to Jailbreak our iPhones for it to do multitasking. The recently iPad/iPhone OS SDK 3.2 reveals a code that mention of a “multitasking dialog box” and could refer to the built-in iPhone Applications. Why did Apple restricts multitasking to be enabled on the built-in Apps?

According to a report by AppleInsider, hacking the system to enable multitasking opens door to malware and piracy. A third party could infiltrate the iPhone’s GPS information with a malware and enable that person to track and your every location. Another scenario is that with multitasking enabled, a virus can send copies of itself and send through SMS or MMS without the users knowledge just because it runs in the background. Apple currently limits multitasking to the Apps they trust and actually created, thus no one can take advantage of the security flaw.

Hexacore Xeon Core i7-980x Mac Pro is coming

While we are waiting for the next generation MacBook Pros, it looks like an update to the Mac Pro line will come first. According to ZDNET they got a tip that Apple is about to overhaul their  MacPro line by adding a “Hexacore” Core i7-980x monster.

While ZDNET points out the release will be this upcoming Tuesday, 9to5Mac claims that the new and more powerful Mac Pro could be release as early as Friday. Whether it will come this weekend or early next week I would suggest that if you plan to buy a Mac Pro, just hold of a bit, as we also might see Core i7 Mac Mini soon. Which could be more efficient than a gigantic Mac Pro. That is if you’re not into highend gaming and movie/3D production.

Looking at the Intel Core i7-980x, the new chip codenamed ‘Gulftown’ features 6 Cores or 12 threads, 12MB Intel Smart Cache, Hyper-Threading Technology, TurboBoost Technology, Integrated Memory Controller, DDR3 1066 MHz memory, Intel QPI and 2×16 or 4×8 discrete graphics with x56. This Old Spice Flavored iPhone/iPad Ad is Hilarious

Apple debuted their first iPad ad during the academy awards but this Old Spice flavored iPad ad sells the iPad in an in-you-face manly manner.

Hello Geeks! Take a look at your Phone. Now back at mine, now back at your phone, now back at mine. Sadly your phone is not mine. But  your phone could be like mine if you bought from Apple and not those girlie phones from Sprint and T-Mobile.

Look down now back up. Where are we? We’re at an Apple Store. In a black turtle neck with a phone who could be like mine

What’s in your hand, now back at me. It’s an icon for that app you love. Look again, that icon has become an iPad. That’s right it’s an iPhone that’s twice as big. Anything is possible when you buy from Apple and not from Spring or T-Mobile

I’m on a horse

Yep, it’s not an official ad but a parody of an old spice ad ‘The Man Your Mac Could Smell Like’ , or should we call it an “Apple flavored old spice ad”. Watch the original old spice ad after the cut. Continue reading this ¨Funny Stuff¨ post »
